Emilia Clarke As Daenerys Targaryen in highly anticapted HBO original series Game of Thrones. The plot is based on a series of books, collectively known as A Song of Ice and Fire, writeen by George R. R. Martin.
The hype surrounding this show has gone to ludricuous speed. It might be impossible to meet expectations, but tonight, April 17th, we will finally find out.
Me? I still have not recovered from the realization that Game of Thrones was not, in fact, a game. Very disappointed, actually. Games are fun. Books are work. And since I am functionally illiterate, it is moot.
Anway, English actress Emilia Clarke is Daenerys and she is certainly beautiful. A cool backstory item I read was Daenerys' mother, Queen Rhaella Targaryen, died while birthing Daenerys during a violent storm, and she is therefore known as Stormborn. As former AD&D Dungeon Master in the early 1980s, I am a sucker for medieval fantasy and I thought that was kinda cool. Details make the story.
Sadly, haters are gonna hate, and I have already countless posts stating Emilia Clarke is a terrible Daenerys. Give her a chance, people.
